Sal's so young and he had to fight a cult as a normal person. And for what? With the anxious, defeated posture and shaking voice, it's not hard to infer that he failed to save anyone. Jovan hates his family, but at least they're still alive. If everyone he knew was dead, he'd be free, but he'd also be completely alone. No wonder having Gizmo back is such a relief to the poor guy.
